How it works
Each stat turns into where a county stands among all counties (its percentile). Two counties are as close as their standings, so one giant county can't stretch the scale. The criteria you pick set how much each stat counts. Ranks read "#3 of 119"; there is no "% match", because a mix of different measures doesn't add up to one.
The method comes from the MMA Data Hub's Find Peer Communities and WageNav's peer cohorts. Sources are listed under each stat (ⓘ). Overdose counts of 1 to 9 are suppressed by CDC; we count them as 5, so rates for small counties are rough.
